ITT VIS is hosting a full day IDL User Group Meeting on October 16. The agenda includes talks by David Fanning, Ronn Kling, Rob Dimeo, Peter Messmer (GPULib), and a couple by ITT VIS engineers.
There will be a presentation and image contest associated with the meeting. Entries are due by September 26.
Seminars about the IDL 7.0 Workbench and the upcoming IDL 7.1 will be given the day before, on October 15.

I'm a software developer focusing on high-performance computing and visualization in scientific programming. I work mostly in IDL, but occasionally use C, CUDA, and Python.

I thought David Fanning gave up on IDL to become a agile Java program so he can pay for his son’s college tuition.
