- NASA’s IDL Astronomy User’s Library
- This is a large library of general and astronomy related routines (including FITS stuff).
- Kilvarock
- This site has free and for sale IDL programs in special purpose categories: widgets, object graphics, mapping, and some DLMs.
- RSI’s User-Contributed Library
- This library contains IDL and ENVI routines contributed by the IDL user community and RSI employees.

- IDLWAVE
- IDWAVE is made up of IDL editing and shell modes for GNU Emacs and XEmacs. This site hosts the code to download as well as useful help on setup.
